Maritza Gibbons, vice president, strategic planning and business development, joined Tenneco in April 2008. She oversees Tenneco’s long-term strategic initiatives, as well as drives new business ventures. Ms. Gibbons works closely with the strategic business unit general managers and their teams as they develop and execute on their strategic planning and business development goals.

Ms. Gibbons serves on Tenneco’s senior management team and report directly to Gregg Sherrill, chairman and CEO.

Ms. Gibbons joins Tenneco from Omron Electronics LLC, where she was director, strategic planning and development since 2005.

She previously worked at Willis Stein & Partners, a Chicago private equity firm, as vice president and equity partner. Ms. Gibbons also held various strategic development positions at several Fortune 500 companies and consulting firm A.T. Kearney. She began her career at AT&T Bell Laboratories.

Ms. Gibbons holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from University of Miami, as well as a master’s degree in operations research from Columbia University and an MBA in finance and business policy/strategy from University of Chicago.
