Patrick Guo  

Patrick Guo was appointed managing director, China, in May 2007. Mr. Guo is responsible for the company’s rapidly growing emission control, ride control and elastomer businesses in China. He reports to Hari Nair, executive vice president and president, International.

Mr. Guo worked for Tenneco from 1996 to 2003, serving in roles of increasing responsibility in China and North America. He left Tenneco in October 2003 to become president of the AGC Automotive China Operations for the Ashai Glass Company. In that capacity, he headed the company’s activities in the country, including two main plants and 10 assembly operations.

During his first tenure at Tenneco, Mr. Guo most recently served as general manager, Asia Aftermarket Operations, while based in Beijing, China. Previously, he held the positions of

general manager of the company’s ride control operations in Beijing; manager, business development and strategy at the company’s headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois; and manager, manufacturing program support in Monroe, Michigan.

Before joining Tenneco, Mr. Guo was an engineer at the Ford Motor Company from 1992 to 1996, which included assignments in manufacturing, quality and product design.

He has BS degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, and a MS degree from Ohio State University – both in Mechanical Engineering – and a MBA from the University of Michigan.
