Dr. Ben Patel is Tenneco’s chief technology officer, responsible for developing and continuously evolving the company’s long-term technology and product leadership strategy for the Clean Air and Ride Performance businesses.
Previously, Patel served as vice president, global research and development, Clean Air, where he led global development for key emission control technologies, including establishing and leading new research programs to continue positioning Tenneco as an innovation leader in all market segments.
Prior to joining Tenneco in 2011, Patel worked for the General Electric Company for 13 years, where he held numerous roles with increasing responsibility including staff chemist and senior scientist. He also served as technology manager for GE Technology Ventures, a division of General Electric’s corporate trading and licensing group, which ultimately brought him to Tenneco.
Patel holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Ottawa and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Yale University.
