Gregg Bolt, senior vice president global human resources and administration, is responsible for Tenneco's labor relations, employee relations, compensation and benefits practices as well as implementation of human resources (HR) programs and policies globally. A member of Tenneco's senior management team, Bolt is responsible for bringing strategic leadership to the global HR function by driving a close linkage between the company's business strategies and HR initiatives. He also oversees the company's environmental, health and safety function worldwide.
Bolt joined Tenneco in February 2013 after spending four years with Quad/Graphics, Inc., where he served as executive vice president, human resources and administration. During his tenure, Quad/Graphics went public and completed a number of acquisitions. Bolt supported these changes by bringing strategic leadership to the global HR function including in the areas of compensation, employee benefits, talent development and effective employee/labor relations. His leadership included implementing stronger business processes that improved efficiency and enhanced business planning and operations reviews.
Prior to joining Quad/Graphics, Bolt spent a decade with Johnson Controls (JCI), most recently as vice president, human resources for JCI's Building Efficiency division, where he developed and implemented HR plans to help accelerate the company's growth, including processes for identifying talent gaps, ensuring a diverse pipeline of talent to support future needs, robust succession planning and managing business structure change.
Bolt began his career as HR development manager with Gerber Products before spending nine years with Nabisco as senior director, human resources.
Bolt earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Calvin College and a Master's degree in industrial psychology from Western Michigan University.
