Marco DeSanto is Tenneco’s senior vice president, legal, responsible for the company’s legal affairs for its Powertrain and Clean Air business globally. He is also expected to serve as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for the new Tenneco (subject to the spinoff occurring and applicable approvals) that will emerge during the second half of 2019 out of Tenneco’s acquisition of Federal-Mogul in 2018 and the subsequent separation into two new, publicly traded companies.
Prior to his appointment with Tenneco, DeSanto served as senior vice president and general counsel for Federal-Mogul Powertrain. Before that, he held several positions of increasing responsibility for Daimler AG, ultimately serving as general counsel and secretary, responsible for all legal matters relating to Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and light trucks in the United States.
DeSanto earned a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, Detroit, Mich. and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, Mich.
