TENNECO TO WEBCAST PRESENTATION AT THE 30TH ANNUAL GABELLI AUTOMOTIVE AFTERMARKET SYMPOSIUM

LAKE FOREST, ILLINOIS, OCTOBER 26, 2006 – Tenneco (NYSE: TEN) will participate in the 30th Annual Gabelli Automotive Aftermarket Symposium Conference to be held in Las Vegas, on Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Ken Trammell, the company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will present at 10:45 a.m. ET.

Tenneco's presentation will be audio webcast and can be accessed by going to the "Investors" portion of the company's web site at www.tenneco.com. A copy of the slides also will be available under the "Presentation" tab in this section of the web site. A replay of the webcast will be available through November 30, 2006.
