Tenneco Automotive Names Richard J. Sloan Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Tenneco Automotive Europe

LAKE FOREST, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 1999--Tenneco Automotive has announced it has named Richard J. Sloan, executive vice president and managing director of the company's European operations, reporting to Mark P. Frissora, president of Tenneco Automotive.

Sloan's duties will include full responsibility for the European business unit's P&L and management control of both original equipment and aftermarket operations. He will be based at the company's European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

Sloan was previously with United Technologies Automotive, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. recently acquired by the Lear Corporation. Serving 18 years with the company, he was most recently UT Automotive's worldwide president of the $500 million Automotive Interior Division and also served as president of United Technologies Automotive Europe. Prior to his long career at UT Automotive, he served in a variety of senior positions for the Chrysler Corporation.

Sloan holds a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Detroit.
