Ӧhlins® Motorcycle Suspension Technologies Land Featured Roles in Upcoming Video Game

May 20, 2021
Upplands Väsby, Sweden, May 20, 2021 – Developed through years of success in superbike competition, Ӧhlins Racing’s popular TTX series of motorcycle suspension products have garnered countless headlines in leading enthusiast publications and digital outlets. Now these and other Ӧhlins technologies have landed featured roles in a sophisticated new video game/performance simulation experience.

RiMS Racing Video Game CoverRiMS Racing, a new racing game from Nacon and RaceWard Studio, will include the Öhins TTX line and other front fork and spring products as customizable options in this new game, which challenges players not only to test their skills on many of the sport’s most popular racing circuits and road routes, but also to think like an engineer in tuning their bikes for optimal traction, handling, braking, torque and speed. Scheduled for release in August, the game includes a mechanics management feature that enables players to disassemble, maintain and/or upgrade bike systems and components to achieve improved performance.

Players who choose the game’s featured MV Agusta F4 RC or Aprilia RSV4 1000 superbikes will be able to experience the vast range of advanced, rider-centric features of Ӧhlins TTX GP suspension products, including on-the-fly adjustability of rebound and compression and precise control of ride height and spring load – all rendered in exquisite detail. Those choosing the game’s featured Ducati V4R superbike will enjoy the benefits of Ӧhlins TTX 36 front forks and shocks, engineered to provide outstanding grip, stability and driver feedback – all based on Ӧhlins innovations developed specifically for MotoGP competition.

“This exciting new game is highly realistic in every respect, including the creators’ selection of Ӧhlins suspension technology, which can be found on world championship-caliber bikes in virtually every form of racing,” said Robert Brinkmark, two-wheel (2W) sales director, Ӧhlins.

In addition to featured positions on the MV Agusta, Aprilia and Ducati bikes, several Ӧhlins suspension technologies – including FGRT 200, 250 and 300 front forks and springs – are available as customization options for all bikes included in the game. Among these options are TTX GP shocks and springs for the Aprilia and Ducati superbikes as well as the Honda CBR1000RR, Kawasaki Ninja ZX10RR, Yamaha YZF-R1, Suzuki GSX-R 10000R and BMW M1000RR.

The RiMS Racing “Motorbike Status Check” feature helps players monitor and adjust a variety of performance variables, including suspension setup, to match the racing environment and personal preferences.

RiMS Racing will be available on August 19th, 2021 for the following game platforms: Playstation®4, Playstation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™ and PC.
